Senior industry leader William Revels has been appointed to chair the board of the Connected Health Innovation Centre (CHIC).
William brings 25 years of technology and communications industry experience to the role charged with leading the £8m Invest Northern Ireland funded competence centre.
William is currently the founder and Director of the PwC Advanced Research and Engineering Centre which has created 150 software engineering jobs, 38 post-doctoral roles across Ulster University and Queens University and a further 700 PwC operational jobs to consume the technology. Previously he held senior roles in BT, and a number of startups.
CHIC has been operating for 6 years, bringing local industry into collaborative research projects in the connected health space.
William Revels commented “I am delighted to be taking on this role in light of the post-pandemic drive to accelerate development of connected health technologies. We have a real strength in this sector and CHIC is one of the key catalysts in Northern Ireland”
